In Existentialism, human doesn’t have a nature but a history. What defines my existence as an individual is the ongoing story of what I accomplish throughout my life. Therefore the past shows up for me as something retained and carried forward for the purpose of my future. In condition to my ‘projects’ at any given time, my memory becomes my assets/ liabilities in relation to what I am doing. And my present appears is a joint of intersection between my future projects and my past accomplishment.
